PERSONAL STYLIST FOR A DAY

Kasabian On Wednesday Harris asked me to assist him with a personal project. He regularly styles the band Kasabian for events, shows & appearances and he had a last minute request to style them for an event on Thursday night... yes, that gave us well, one afternoon before the fitting! Impossible right... wrong, even with the snow the show must go on. ​​While I've assisted styling on shoots, this came as a whole new experience. The brief... white, just white. And so off I went searching the likes of Mr.Porter, ASOS & Selfridges for white menswear. I filled the baskets and made a digital shopping list of pieces that could work. We then head into central London to have a proper look and feel of the pieces. The personal shopping experience was really cool - we wandered round Dover Street Market & Selfridges picking out pieces without even having to check the price tag! The department stores are happy to give as much as they can to take to the fitting, then whatever the band keep they pay for. Our base was on the top floor of Topman on Oxford Street where they have their Personal shopping appointments. We had our own room with hanging space for the pieces we collected, and it gave us a safe space to put all the other bags we were carrying! The floor also had a complimentary fridge and cookie jar .. definitely my favourite part of the day.
